@polarisandy, i bet that’s a lovely print in real life.

May I suggest a limit of 4 pics per post? Seems to be getting a bit crowded IMHO.

You may suggest what you like, but personally I disagree. The posters that put up lots of pics, do so with quality pics, therefore I say keep em coming.

Loving this thread! Long may it continue. Nothing to add but appreciation.

Something in polarisandy s captures make me look, look and look again. Something intangible is often captured somehow… bravo!

Cheers John. Anyone (particularly bemused Aussies who think it’s cold, wet and dull) who tells you that it’s just like the UK are flat out, dead, wrong. It’s an amazing place and very much worth taking a chunk of time out from a longer potential trip to visit the ‘typical’ Oz sights. Hopefully I’ll get a few more Tassie photos on tonight…

What would be the best month to go there for great warm, sunny weather please?

We went mid November, which is still ‘spring’ for down there. Feb seems to have the best weather, apparently, but a lot of the waterfalls will be more of a trickle by then. If it is a scorcher you’ll also find national parks and things shut. So… I’d say November / December, sure, you might have a few days of poor weather, but I’m assured that this can happen any day of the year!

As a clumsy amateur snapper I’m not sure whether I find this thread inspiring or disheartening. 😕

I’m off to delete my own shots from South Australia and replace them all with zokes’. 😀

SSSSHHHHH! Don’t tell anyone, but that’s what I did 😉

Seriously, very flattered with the compliments, though seeing shots like polarisandy’s show that there’s still vast room for improvement.

Not great quality, and breaks all sorts of photography composition rules, but it’s Amelia’s 2nd Christmas, and the first one that she really enjoyed (she was eleven days old the last time)

For me the ladybird hat really finishes the look off…

    Zokes, thats nice mate!

Cheers! I think I’ve been somewhat assisted by having spent 3 weeks in possibly one of the most scenic places on the planet though 🙂

I’m liking the dark ploughed waterlogged field – not something you see a lot of down these parts!

I like that last one ginjaninja – took me a while to work out what it was – very striking and abstract.

Thanks. Plenty more where that came from.
