Mark – beautiful photos mate! But less is more

This is less – I took over 3000 in the two weeks there (but at least they were taken in the last month 😉 )

I like that one, dooosuk. I reckon a longer exposure would get you the reflection you’re looking for if it’s not so windy as to blow the tripod about.

Fair dos. Why not start a blog and link to it?

My wife does one, but it’s very holiday-snap oriented; so I’ll just try to be more selective here and post the link to the Flickr collection 😳

Well, I’d better get on and upload a few more – clearly there aren’t enough photos of Tasmania online yet…

Mark/Zokes, immensely envious of your echidna. I’m crazy about the creatures. Saw one riding on Mt Wellington on Saturday but it tucked under a ledge and I didn’t have the heart to prise it out for a photo!

A couple from Tassie. The mtb one, I just like the colours – white, green and red. At MONA, I was more into the building than much of the art, hence the weathered steel. The piece of art I liked the most – neolithic arrow heads – was impossible to shoot.

Tiny files because I’m on slow wifi. Will update Flickr with larger files sometime.

    Hi Corroded,

That echidna was a very determined chappy. We saw him (or rather several people trying to simultaneously crawl and take photos) from a distance, and ran over to him, where he just carried on marching. I’m a bit annoyed I didn’t get a better shot, but he actually moved pretty fast, and even walked straight into my lens a couple of times, which didn’t help things!

I also like the MTB shot – it’s pleasing on the eye.

We didn’t get to Mona, but did spend a day on Bruny, which coincidentally is next in line for my narcissistic spamming of this thread ;-)

Yep, agree, and he shoots on film with a vintage camera… none of that rattling off ten shots of the same thing and one will turn out alright-ish!

Like your waterfalls Zokes. I find it pretty difficult to take good landscapes.

Last couple of pics from Tassie, of a tiny but highly recommended cafe/bakery in West Hobart called Pigeon Hole. If anyone’s passing, say hi to Jay, who does a bit of mountain biking when he’s not baking delicious sourdough.

Hi corroded, I have to say it’s taken me a very long time to get even close to mastering the art. A lot of it’s simply a matter of taking your time – hence why using a tripod has more use than just getting silky flowing effects with waterfalls 🙂
