Great shots Grum – I like the making up for lost time :-)

Definitely one of the better threads by some margin. Certainly a lot here are better than you find in ‘real’ photography forums!

Been a while since I was here, and as always there’s some outstanding stuff on here. I’ve gone a few here, some go back earlier this year, which I had forgotten about:

    Acer at Westonbirt Arbouretum

    Subterranian concrete, London

    Laura Marling, Honeyfest.

    Late afternoon Acer, Westonbirt

    Fosse Lodge, Grittleton, Wiltshire

    Sapperton Tunnel, Gloucestershire.

Guy Garvey and Elbow, O2 Arena.

Interestingly only two of these were taken on the big camera, the rest on the compact.

Back at the end of September i got this one.
It’s nothing technically brilliant but the rarity of the subject makes i special to me and to others interested in Butterflies.

I’m also proud of the shot, because it’s the only recorded sighting of a Monarch Butterfly i the UK, this year. And if you know anything about them, you’ll know about just how remarkable they are and how much of a special treat, it was for me to see and photograph one.

Cheers .duncan. I’m guessing it was no 3 and the last one with the big camera?

Nice one sharki – think I saw one of them recently in a butterfly house? Could be wrong though.

    Enjoying the latest pics. 8)

Count – had to look up Grittleton on the map and Fosse Lodge looks to be on the old Fosse Way. Quite an inviting looking track, assuming it’s the one that leads through to the wood?

Hey Polarisandy, what scanner do you use to get these prints onto your computer?

    .duncan

    i believe he uses a V600..

got a Canon 8800F myself, would recommend that if its for personal use / not printing over A3. Comes with 120 film holder too…

Thanks for that. My dad has a few film cameras and was really impressed.
