Thanks soma, I didn’t really know what I’d taken; I had contacts in and no reading glasses, and I was using my iPhone, so could just about see the screen, so I was tapping away hoping I’d get one or two that had a glider in, so I was thrilled to bits when I got home and looked at them properly. There’s quite a few more I took there which came out really well. Hadn’t even intended going there, I’d seen them flying in the distance while I was up on Barbury Castle, so checked the map and saw they were at Liddington Castle so drove over. Left my Nikon at home, so the phone was the only camera I had with me.

Great to have a browse & see far more quality than I’ll ever produce.

Took some serious midge damage to get this, near Opinan beach…

Great photo of the Vulcan, and the VW pic’s really good too. Like your sunset, Rob, worth the midge attacks. I actually managed to get one of my para louder pics up there ? published in our regional daily paper, the Western Daily Press, which made my day. First time I’ve had a photo published anywhere.

asherh some awesome pics there! how did you get the effect with the trees?

Cheers! Erm I THINK it was small aperture and just a bit of uppy downy motion to get the blur, I tried a few different shots and I liked that one best because the trees still have some detail but the background is nicely blurred.. Sometimes using just the on camera flash set to rear mode can help create the same effect when its a bit darker
