Very happy with this one; it’s a street portrait (aren’t they all) and it’s from the Brighton Beach at sunrise on a sunday project. It was one of those rare moments when the image just suddenly all came together without any effort.

a few pics of the camera I earned a living with in the early 70s

I still use that lens on my D800. I’ve the 28mm and 35mm versions too – the 35mm being like my third eye, so accustomed am I to it’s flaws. Beautiful lenses.

Three fish, send me a pm or an email and I’ll send you the lens and camera. I’ll never use either again, Canon user now.

Not me, (I’m better looking) but Ralph from Holland carrying out one of our cranes annual services, and he borrowed my 360 camera for a shot high over the Mersey

Now that Photobucket has effectively shot itself in the ass, I’m stuck for alternatives I can use directly from my iPad.
Flickr keeps saying it’s making improvements, but the app appears to be useless, the linking mechanism seems to be designed to not work at all, a spectacular failure on their part; when I tap the right-handed arrow, all I get is the means to copy the URL, which makes no sense at all.
Imgur I just can’t figure out at all, I’ve tried to get a photo to show, without success, so any clues would be gratefully received.
I’m not using my computer, it’s connected to my telly, far too much phaffing around, my pad is my computer.

Not a great pic. Just a happy one. Sitting with the dog watching fish rise to take flies. Fascinates her.

Just been on a 3 week road trip round bits of the north. first few of no doubt many habitually heavy handed images to appear on this thread from me.

Every time I see my dad I take his picture and every time I do that, the chances that it will be the last one I take get higher.

Greg and Andy – I love you’re last respective posts! Andy, the window lit chair is just fabulous lighting. How good woulda portrait be in that spot?

I was thinking similar with the chair.

This one is a bit of what I tend to call a ‘crowd pleaser’ but I confess, I do like the colouring. It took no talent to take sadly so I shouldn’t really be proud of it but I thought to share it anyway.

hah! part of the reason for holding the camera is not to appear in front of it…!

Been developing some holiday snaps. They’re a bit rough and ready, from my old point-and-shoot. Need to get a better host than instagram.

Thanks Gt. There were only about half a dozen shots that I liked out of as many rolls. But we all go through that from time to time I suppose.

Ah yes, the older ‘keeper ratio’ conundrum! If it makes you feel any better I’ve read plenty of times that even the recognisde masters only aim for a ratio of about three per roll of 36. That makes it an expensive hobby!
