I guess you’re not being ironic with that post and just need some help knowing how to link pictures to the forum right? 😀

I wouldn’t say I was especially ‘proud’ of this picture; it’s OK I aguess in an abstract sort of way, but it makes for an interesting ‘can you guess where this is’ game.

went back to Venice to experience the place when not getting wet from head down and from feet up.

took a few pics, here are a couple of them

(I would’ve preferred it without people but that would have involved getting up waaaaay too early for me in holiday mode)

Yep, me also. I really do like that image and the colouring on the Venice shot is also unusual and appealing. It has a ‘painterly’ quality to it.

Not much artistic merit….I was just impressed by the fact it was landing on a local beach.

First test roll of cheap colour film back from my new M6 with the 35mm lens. Not bad for a really cheap film and fast scan!

that’s not a Nokton is is Greg? Would love an M6, enjoy it!

think these all scrape in under the last month rule, though maybe developed/scanned rather than strictly taken ;). Hosted on IG hence weird squareness.

Well spotted 🙂 It’s a dream so far. Have a few rolls of B&W negatives that should be on my doorstep when I get home.

I must say, the image stabilisation of the Fuji 18-135mm is very impressive

My project exploring life on Brighton Beach between the hours of sunrise (which was at 5.05am this morning and required a 4am alarm call!) and 9am continues.

Naturally a lot of the people you meet are just finishing their saturday night rather than starting their Sunday morning and given Brighton has something of an ‘alternative’ culture, you do tend to see a lot of chemically induced behaviour. That’s probably not something I would choose for myself but I firmly believe in letting people live the life they want to live.

Tom was pretty wired. He was coherent and so able to give consent to a photograph, but he was unable to string more than a few words together. He was sitting as part of a group of individuals, many of who I’ve met and photographed before. They were all just hanging out on the pebbled front, relaxing around sunrise. Tom was sat opposite me and just staring intently at me, or perhaps past me, right towards where the sun had risen over the horizon about 20 minutes before. I just love the wild staring eyes. So intense!

Nothing clever, posed or well executed. But it is press day back at the office and it is the major pressure deadline around now so I needed an image just to enrage those back working hard in the newsroom. Judging by the three emails I’ve already had it has hit the spot. 😈
I’ll spare you the gratuitous Thatchers Gold and Asian Seafood Broth shot.

Messing about by the river. Beautiful Demoiselles are canny flies, it took me about an hour to get this male to trust me enough to get within an inch away. Also saw a female Scarce Chaser buzz right in front of my face, hover awhile in front of my nose only to fly away before I could even attempt to snap it. Better than big game hunting IMO.

Water and hills. You win. I really need to revisit the lakes.

I’m working half an hour down the road, so would have been rude not to 😉
