Greg, that boy in the shower pic is your best yet, you couldn’t pose that expression, it looks like a stolen moment, great lighting too.

this was shot last monday with a flying visit to swissland, wouldn’t say i was ‘proud’ but pleased with the results as it was a time pressed shoot and i had to travel light with kit.

High praise indeed MrSmith. It means a lot so thank you.

At some point I would love to have some insight into how you do what you do with your lighting.

Absolutely no photographic merit whatsoever, but I like it!

The little beggar sits on my bars every time I go to Dalby and will almost take food from my hands. Brightened up an otherwise dull and muddy ride.

It’s either the Imeprial War Museum in Salford or it’s the Gugenheim in Bilbao. My money is on the former.

Marv the Mandarin, taken months to catch him with the camera out.

Just like the colours of the shot.

What’s with friendly Robins and trail centres? There’s ones I see regularly at Afan (by the bike park), Cwmcarn car park and one at CYB too!! They always fly away at the sight of a camera too 😥

I had a business trip to Monaco and the flight arrangements afforded me the best part of a day to myself, which I obviously used very productively.

I can’t decide which of these two I like best and wondered what you all thought. It’s the inside of a small, traditional Japanese building in the Jardin Japonias du Monaco, which is just sublime.

I really like this one but I suspect most people won’t see the appeal. I love the idea of making beautiful images of the very ordinary. It’s really hard to do but I think I got close with this one.

I’ve been experimenting with split toning. I like it but need to use it judiciously and not to hide a multitude of sins.

geetee split toning can be a bit hit and miss in LR. It’s very eary to overdo it! I prefer to do any colour grading in PS. However, this is one I got ‘right’ in LR.
