personal tragedy – Its my turn now

Oh TJ I am so very, very sorry.

This is made worse by the fact you had just given up work and had many plans together.
So glad though that Julie’s last days were spent doing what she wanted and being looked after by your good self.

There are going to be many happy memories to look back on and when you’re ready many more adventures. Because I’m pretty sure that’s what she would want.

I can’t stop thinking about this, the timing just seems to cruel, just as you retire with all your travelling plans ahead of you. Cancer really is a ****.

From your post it sounds like you did everything in your gift to ensure Julie’s last few weeks went as she wanted.

I think you were a nurse until recently so you’ll no doubt have seen many times where the patient’s wishes could not be accommodated. I hope the fact you could do that for Julie will give you some comfort in the coming weeks.

You have my sympathies and your wife has my respect. To take charge like that at a time like that is something to be admired.

There’s no good way for someone to go but it certainly seems like Julie chose a way that was much less awful.

It will be too raw right now, but given time, I trust you’ll be able to take some comfort from that.

That reads as a very strong, very dignified and very positive way to go; she must be leaving a big hole. Very sorry for your loss, TJ.

Tj this is such shockingly sad news. My sincerest sympathy.

We’ve never met, but we’ve pulled each other’s legs a few times, particularly on the rugby threads. I’m sure you have several people around you to help you out. However, I only live a few miles from you and have plenty of free time – so please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help you out!
