  • Own up can you still fit into clothes you wore 20 years ago?

    summer of 89 I had 2 outfits:

    1. jeans, metal t-shirt, leather jacket (for drinking jack daniels and/or special brew)

    2. flouro lycra (for biking)

Don’t think I would fit in any of that no, but I was pretty skinny then what with all the biking and jack daniels and everything.

But summer of 90 was all baggy ravey so I’m sure I would fit into all that (even had a pair of dungaries)

that reminds me, I still have all my metal t-shirts from my 6th form and uni days in a suitcase in the loft. The jeans died a death but I do have the black suede winklepicker shoes with zips and buckles.

Well, I don’t have much left from 20 years ago, maybe my DrMartens and a lovely bright red Castelli top which turned up again last month after being mis filed in a house move ten years ago. Oh and a dinner suit I bought in 87 still fits. Should I wear them all together?

In 1989, I was 12 and just about to start my second year at Big School. I don’t think I’d fit into my old uniform though.

When I left uni in 1999 I weighed 10.5 stone and I’m 11.5 stone now. All muscle though 😉

Ironcally I’ve got the same cut I had in 1991 when I joined the Army..

Only this time its because I have gone bald natually, not courtesy of an over zelous Barber..

Funnily enough I’ve just been looking at holiday snaps from 1988 . . . so, yes 😳 (via a few different incarnations). And, yes, you’re all just babies 😉 . . . 20 years ago I was heading for the Birthday of Doom (well, 3 years away).

I have 2 pr of undercrackers I still use from 1980ish, but they do have good elastic in them!. I think I was a 28″ waist then, I’m a 32″ waist now. They only get worn when I’m really really desperate for undies.

    Yup.
I occasionally wear some flared levis and gig shirts from when I was about 17 (46 now).

Also got…ahem.. a mid blue crimplene safari suit from when I was about 15, still fits me a treat – I’ve been pretty much the same size since then. And it’s still waiting for the next 70’s party to come round !
