Thanks for organising this and ordering decent weather! Glad we bailed out when we did, don't think I could have managed 28 miles! Nice to put some faces to names.

nice beer that flat cap, suffered from it though going back over towards Rivvy.

Cheer's guy's. I'm glad some of us made it all the way round it's what makes it all worth while in the end. I must say i'm bolloxed myself at the mo.
As for the fella on the singlespeed who rode san marino with us all i can say is 'hard bastard'.

    Cheers Nick,

Good to meet some more STW'ers, though my legs are now reminding me that im not used to 28 milers. Glad I managed to make it to the very end 😆

PS San Marino / Belmont was better than ever today!

Cheers Nick for a good run out today and a cheeky beer half way. Almost helped me get through that bog on the way back. Good to see Rivi raised a few smiles (there's life in the old dog yet…. No not you Chuckie 😉

Also cheers for showing us a couple of little bits I'd not done before. Good day all round and nice to see a few new faces too.

    Lowey,

I spotted the bikes still outside the pub at 6.30 when we went out….

Were you still there then? 😯

I think we left about 7ish. Home via the chippy.

Overall I clocked up about 33 miles by the time I dragged myself in.

Yep that was me….. do not fear the quagmire at the top of white coppice had scrubbed most of my speed before the mud took my front wheel hostage. However the soft mud did make for a nice cushioned landing!!! Prehaps one day some sense will be knocked into me… prehaps not

he was OK, full face helmet helped

Helped me sweat my brain out, was like an oven in there!!!! high time an open face was purchased.

Cheers for organsing nick… was a good ride, picked up plenty of new routes round rivi, which is always good.

Also thanks to chris for showing us the way home

will keep my eyes peeled for the next one.. good to meet you all

Dave, didnt see you in the pub so presume you missed the best descent of the lot. San Marino.

Nope we had to miss san marino, my mate had to get back for 2.30 so we bailed half way up rivi and finished off coming down the ice cream run. Only to get a snakebite thanks to a rather large rock suspiciously placed in the landing zone after the drop prior to the sweeping right hander. 😡

Last time i did the san marino it was was pretty much a white out up top with plenty of snow and ice on the downhill making it nice and sketchy in places.

I'm keen to get back up there and reap the benefits of the san marino in more forgiving conditions

    Hope you enjoyed the piss-up/ride

I'll be repeating the ride at some point, as Luke had to miss out due to knackering his knee.

I'm sure on some sunny weekend, we can get you lot from Darlo down, and maybe twin it with something else. Thinking Peaks…

According to Ton on Sunday, if the frog spawn is all over the pond rather than just the edges, it's going to be a great summer. 🙄

These Northern STW rides are not just fun and healthy, they are also educational. A bit like a school field trip with middle aged men. 😆

Hora i reckon it's between 5000-5500ft of climbing i'll show you if you want 😆

Oh yeah, you'll have to bring an altimeter thingy cause my guesstimation's are usually wrong, i was under with the distance and we shaved about a mile and a half off.

Just a pity the pub's are at the bottom of the climb's and not the top. 😀

Tempting photo's Lowey! Good, hard day out by the looks of it, glad to see Skipton's wounderful brew was sampled. May have to invade your sacred space again in the coming, warmer, months!! I can't get enough of the, erm, ginger flapjack!
