There’s a nice, feel good, story on the BBC website about a Sudanese refugee taking up cycling in Glasgow I thought I’d share – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckg3nz69gx6o

I had no idea that there were countries where it was forbidden for women to cycle!

I tried to help a lady from a similar situation. Remember being equally as shocked to learn she wasn’t allowed to ride. Despite my and her best efforts she just couldn’t get the hang of it though. Would constantly veer off to the right. Was gutted for her. I do hope she kept practising and got it in the end.

I usually marshall but wasn’t there this morning as we had family plans, so I missed some bloke called Josh Giddings smashing the course record in his Lotto Destiny kit….
