    Looks pretty great to me.
I agree with the comments about stealth dropper routing though…. wonder if there was a conscious decision taken to leave this out and what the reasoning was….?

According to Cotic on Facebook their fancy 853 seat tube is too thin-walled to drill a hole in it. Replacing that tube with a thicker one which could be drilled for stealth dropper routing would add 1/4lb to the frame weight.

Hmm… interesting, thanks for the reply.
Not sure I’m buying it though – could have a brazed in reinforcing ring like bottle bosses on downtubes have.

Reading that extract, it does look as though sticking a 1 degree angleset into the Mk1 would give you pretty much identical geometry to the Mk2. Nothing wrong with that; it’s not as though there was much wrong with the Mk1.

Well the postie delivered a Velocity Dually 45mm (int 39mm) rim and Trailblazer 2.8 tyre today. Seems to be plenty of clearance on my Mk1 frame and forks. Wheel not built onto hub yet though.

Sounds promising boxelder. What’s the clearance like in the MK1 Solaris frame? Really think 27.5+ chubby would be a great winter option for the slop.
