Finishing work at 6 and chompin’ at the bit to get out on 2 wheels tonight. I have been without my normal cycling friend as he’s been off the saddle with an inflamed prostrate. He was told he had prostrate cancer at one point but now he’s all better and he’s assured me that he’s up for a bit of the rough stuff, oooerrr mrs. So we’ll be celebrating his health and the lovely weather as we ride out. We’ll be out 8-11 or possibly longer if he (we) can manage it. Along the canal for a gentle start, over the downs and then back up the other side and then down again through the woods, lots of roots! then road for about 4 miles and through some more woods, round the woods, up down along etc, then a rutted old bridelway and finish off down a massive hill steaming down to the pub for a well earned Stella.

    Let’s go, Lets Ride!

Just back in. Booked a bit of MTB coaching tomorrow and wanted to have a recce this evening, so sloped off early from work and trundled down canal towpaths and bridleways to suss out the scene of tomorrow’s humiliation. A very pleasant, gentle 80 minute spin.

    You bastards.

My back is really bad again so I’ve given the home brew a good seeing to. So not a chance I’d stop upright.

Not me, I was out at 10:30 for a 4hr wander round the woods & lanes. Oh, what a perfect day……. Ale O’clock now 🙂

Just back, one of those very rare wax work off early, no mechanicals, only saw 2 DW’s in 2 hours, trails to yourself, everything flowed evenings 8)
Only the surprisingly slippy, greasy SE Essex clay grots prevented an otherwise ‘just wipe off the dust’ perfect ride….

No work today so was out on the roadie all day in the sun. Got back home, had a munch then took the daughter out on her roadie with some friends and got back in just after eight. Demolished a pizza and feet up.

Pretty much ten hours of dicking around on bikes. Mint. 😀

Sitting in Pateley Bridge about to go to the pub. Started the day here.

Enjoy the climb out of there in the morning.

Just got in from a lovely evening ride through some local woods and up onto the downs, hadn’t ridden for 9 days as mother in law was in hospital, so been on child care duties.
    Great to be out again!

First bike commute today since starting a new job, picked a nice day to start 😀 Just shy of 15 miles each way and not much longer than it takes to drive into Cambridge!

A chap in local club gear on a nice Enigma passed me on the way home, I don’t think he took too kindly to me nicking a tow- lasted for about 100m before dropping a gear and giving it some beans 😈 I did feel a bit bad about it actually; I was going to ask if it was OK, but he spotted me before I had chance when negotiating some old duffers wandering all over the cycle path.

    Cheers,
    Jamie

Rode 18miles home from work on road. Strong headwind all the way so kicked back a bit. Until I got a whiff of competition in the last couple of miles…..

I had a little spin after work through the Cheshire lanes. Was a lovely evening for it.

Managed to ding my wheel rim halfway round the Nidderdale ‘Classic’ today. Wouldn’t even take a tube.

Thankfully a nice couple took pity on me and gave me a lift back to Pateley Bridge.

Plus I aggravated my mystery arse muscle strain, and the registration plate fell off the bike rack somewhere.

Still better than being sat indoors, I guess…

Just in after a lovely 17miles ish on mostly dry trails. First ride in over 3 weeks due to illness, work and a mates stag do (ooof!)
No-one around at all. Just badgers and deer. Felt great. Moon was a vibrant orange colour too.

No ride 🙁 but three great sets of tennis (7:5, 4:6; 6:4) plus two pints and some bubbly when I got home as the wife was in a good mood too. Happy days!

Absolutely splendid conditions out tonight, bombing down rural roads & tracks, all the bluebells catching your light, fragrant & colourful & the moon was bright & hanging in the sky. The isolation & silence of the countryside is such a welcome contrast to life in a busy office.

No ride, plenty of faffage on new light bicycle rims and XX1 drivetrain, rode last night though with junior C, and out tomorrow night too

    Shoosh the lot of you.
A week away with work, sans bike, despite being in some eminently rideable spots (Hampshire and Moray).
Then a week now of painting, painting, painting and packing to move this weekend.
    12 days since a pedal and I am twitching…..

Got out to Stile Cop on Tuesday on the Stanton which was fun for a change as it’s normally done on a bouncy bike. Quick blast round Cannock last night which was pretty much bone dry and will be getting out on the road bike tonight.

Will ride both days this weekend too.

Nope, went to bed early – but … I had been out running from four in the morning, which was a magical time to be out – Freezing cold, clear sky, huge moon, nobody around, zero traffic noise(!), millions of wild creatures making the most of the peace – and about half way through I watched the sun rise over the sea.

    😛

Off yesterday so had a nice ride…until my mate got a puncture. He had no tubes, my schrader tube wouldn’t fit in his rim (arfarf) Idiot.

Out again tonight as soon as I get in thought 😀

Went out for a quick bivvy on Dartmoor on the singlespeed. Didn’t see anyone, and had a stunning evening, incerdible moon and woke to being above the cloud/mist covering the valley and beyond into Cornwall.
Was seriously thinking of having a sickie and to keep riding this morning, but no food or drink scuppered that!!
