Longshot – Bike hire in Cairns

Looks like mrs dB is giving me free reign tomorrow & I quite fancy a pootle up the bike paths to Palm Cove but can only seem to find places with god awful hybrids, ebikes or top end road bikes for hire? Anyone know where I can hire a decent hybrid from – I’ve found Ride on Cycles near where we are staying but they’ve no website 😕

Can’t help, sorry. I did the opposite and hired a fat bike in Palm Cove and pootled around the beach for a couple of hours whilst nervously eyeing the ‘Danger, Crocodiles in THIS AREA’ warning signs.

Well Ride on Cycles are not currently hiring bikes 😕 “Biked” in cairns or palm cove look like they would be good for MTB hire 🤔

@matt_outandabout – can highly recommend “Ocean Free” for a trip to Green Island if your boy is coming to Cairns, it’s around £140 for the day but with max 25 guests, decent lunch & proper sailing boat rather than a huge catamaran it’s well worth it – just remember to take the sea sickness tabs & don’t bother with the crocs on the island.

Update – pretty much drew a blank on hiring a hybrid, Ride On don’t hire out at the moment, Biked in Cairns doesn’t open until Monday & is a satellite shop anyway, could only find a single speed beach cruiser to hire 😕 however:-

Pump n Pedals hire out electric Trek or Specialized MTBs @ 200aud per day.

Biked in Palm Cove is your best bet for MTB they hire out Norco trail & enduro bikes (Fluid & ??) book in advance & they may deliver/collect.
