Muss Ed, is that in the Three Valley's area, if so that has to be the very capable Ness on the decathlon hard tail wiv V brakes. Ness is fast !!

Gravy – that is indeed Ness, on the Decathlon with V-brakes with very little block left, and next to no tread on the tyres, and you're right she was fast. A little too fast as it happens as she came a cropper a little while after we came home, landed on her head, unconscious for 10mins, helimed to Albertville, 4 days in hospital. Still a bit out the game now, three weeks later but getting better. Think her Gaz and Beiron come home tomorrow.

Anyway I'm assuming the photo request was from you?

And wasn't Courchevel excellent – think we going to book again for next year. Brilliant place.

Thanks for that MussEd I really should learn how to post pics up. I had heard about Ness's stack and I'm really glad she is ok.
I too will be in Courchevel next summer I did two weeks this year maybe just a bit too much I was knacked when I got home. What did you think to the food there and did you ride the BBQ trail ? 😀

    Do you know what?
I just love the British countryside!

Looking at these images of the Peaks, Scotland and the Lakes and I know we have simply the most beautiful scenery.

Not as dramatic or as perhaps remote as the Rockies or the Alps, but never the less, these UK trails and hills make me want to be out riding our trails more that our more exotic overseas cousins.

    Maybe I'm just strange! 💡

redthunder, you (or your mate) are to be congratulated for riding through that big puddle & not churning up the edges of the trail

Gravy – i personally thought the food was excellent. Couldn't have faulted it at all. The desserts especially were tremendous, chococlate fondant being a favourite. Why, did you not?

Not sure about BBQ trail? Where was that? Can't really remember the names, apart from 11d and le Creux?

Cheers – what camera do you have? I've got a 30D with a 70mm sigma lens – doesn't really get much chunkier than that unless you've got a EOS1D or something… time for a bigger bag?!

MussEd, I too think the food is brilliant and desserts too,I was just after your opinion, thanks. It's difficult to describe where that trail is but you will have to come off Plan de Sah to the fruitbowl and then a twenty minute climb until you reach the top of the quarry (Ariondaz area), the decent is fantastic very technical with lots of really tight switch backs and drops you out at the picnic area on Plan de Vah. I think Dave or Ness may have shown you the way there or not as the case may be.I also think that Pleisure Holidays go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. See you there next year maybe. 🙂
