    the third party emergency call out team would put us up in a hotel if they couldn’t fix it tonight but because the age of the boiler…

    this is thing really, if this is an arrangement with the landlord and his agent, and when it comes to the crunch the agreement doesn’t work through no fault of yours, then it’s a useless arrangement. Call the landlord directly (if you can) and at the very least tell him he’s going to pay for a couple of fan heaters (they’ll come in handy if the old bolier isn’t replaced as you’ll certainly need them again!

    The time to repair isn’t unreasonable,my GF even with a BGas emergency call out agreement on her own house had to wait a couple of days a few weeks ago while hers was repaired (to find parts over w/e).
