re pointed the dodgy areas of my bros terrace a while back and he was keen that the colour should match the old. Well …you guessed it …I was way off once it dried and it needs to be a lot darker. Just wondered if anyone knew of an easy way to sort this (without doing the work again) really want an indelible stain that will kind of soak into the upper surface .
    Does it exist ?
    thanks
    In advance

I’m sure when I had my garden wall built that the bricky suggested using yoghurt to darken pointing. Could have been a case of tartan paint or long weight though!

Yogurt will encourage the algae growth, so might help if that’s the reason for the mismatch? Could always try yogurt-ing all of it…?

but that would be no quicker than just painting it with a suitably coloured masonry paint

Diluted cow poo, they use it for ageing new roofs on listed buildings.
