Investment advice please

Where would someone that nows what there doing invest some money , my bank is trying to talk me into a scheme that follows the ftse top 100 they make it sound rosey and all that but this is hard earned so anything to risky and will not be able to sleep at night

It’s not as scarry as it might at first sound and the advice is normally better than just going direct to someone who is a tied rep for one company who will be targeted towards certain products.

Investing in the FTSE is a complete gamble, you would have lost 30% of your money had you invested at the beginning of 2008. Go to a Casino you’d have more fun!

I’ve got a few quid saved and have looked at various investments but I’m keeping it in cash at the moment rather even though I get a lousy interest rate at the bank. Things are so uncertain at the moment I’d rather keep it safe.
