    It is on-topic!
My MW80 boots have already had the neoprene sewn up when they ripped (reduce, reuse, recycle an’ all that!), now the Velcro on the ankle strap isn’t ‘velcroing’ any more!
Is there any way of reviving velcro, or should I pick it off and sew a new patch on?
(Don’t say buy more! That’s £150 I could put towards my son’s education, and watch Ch4 for ‘scrimp and save’ if you still don’t get it!)

    Cheers,

As I have a pair of Race Face gloves where the velcro gave up after about the third ride, I’m very keen to hear the answers to this!!

I would say Sew a new bit on.

Is it just full of fluff that needs picking out or has something more sinister happened?

If it’s that the hooked side is clagged with fluff or dirt then give it a comb with a wire brush. Bish, bash, bosch.

They are a few years old, so I think the loops have probably all died!
Think I’ll have to get my needle and thread out again!
