Just stripped a Hope Pro 2 rear hub.
Done it countless times but now I stumped!
Put New bearings in and xd body.
Freewheels fine out of bike but when In bike tight, freewheels forward and locks out backward?
    What have I done wrong?
Small 3 mm washer behind freehub body as well!

    Yeah,
Checked pawls were round right way and they were same way as old freehub!
Thought Hope was playing some cruel joke!

    I’d go with spacers then.

    There is only one.
Just the 2mm one behind body.
Haven’t touched the body as brand new.
Any others I mite have missed?

I had exactly the same thing. It’s the end cap fouling the cassette.Even though hope only .list one 142 end cap I’ve got 2 slightly different ones (older pro2 evo)
A wee bit of dremel work and it works ok now.Had me stumped for a bit though.

I had an end cap catching on the bearing when quick release was tightened.
Looked like the end cap had worn down a bit, washer behind end cap sorted.
I keep forgetting to get new end caps!

Mine is a Pro 2 straight pull which I think is the same as the Evo.
I am running the old q/r end cap.
I know they provide a spare cap for 142 but this bike is q/r.
Which part of the cap do I need to dremel?
    Thanks for the advice guys.

    Put New bearings in

I would double check they’re fully seated before letting loose with the dremmel.

Maybe double check with Hope, don’t think xd drivers work with non Evo Pro 2

Ended up buying new end cap from Hope.
    Problem sorted!
My old one was breaking up and o ring kept falling out.
New one is slightly different but seems to have done the trick!
    Thanks guys for advice.
