Hi – iv purchased my Voodoo Limba. It comes with these bars as standard
Voodoo alloy, 131mm drop, 75mm reach

I don’t know gravel bikes to well – it there a better bar to suit more off-road trail riding but still a drop bar?

Or is what I have got on it suitable enough

The bars on my limba weren’t flared and I didn’t like the shape. I prefer something with flare and shorter drops. The selcof ones from planet x have been much better imo

I’ve just received my new bike and it came with a Richey Venturemax WCS which has got a decent flare and it’s comfy on the drops. I’d recommend.

    Depends what you want flare-wise.

I’ve got some Salsa Woodchippers which have a really pronounced flare, they were very comfy off-road, though might be much for some.

Currently got some Salsa Cowchippers on my 29+ Monster-cross. I bought the widest ones, and they are VERY wide for a drop bar + a bit of flare, but incredibly comfortable in use.

    Ritchey Beacon.

46cm on the hoods, nice flare and very shallow drop so lever can be reached from the drops even by someone with such a small hands like me.

Venture MAX also good call, but less flare and bigger drop.

    Cheers!

I’ve got Thomson KFCs on my Tripster. I just checked the price of em. So that’s where my redundancy money went! 😲

    +1 Ritchey Beacon.

Really easy to get from the hoods to drops – like them more than previous flared drives.

I bought a pair of these and they are so pronounced that I never fitted them. I need to swop them for some cowchippers or sell them.

I’d recommend just riding what you have before you buy something else. Help you decide what it is you want.

I’d agree with the above and ride what you have for a while as you can work out where to go from there regarding width, drop and reach.

When I got my original GB I jumped straight in to wider bars without really considering the other factors (new to drops). When I bought a new bike I moved the bars over and although it’s perfectly ride-able, it could be better. Now realise that I like the width but would prefer more flare and less reach so will probably change bars again at some point.

See how you get on with the supplied bars – bar shape is a massively personal thing. Note also that control position along the length and rotation around the bar makes a big difference on drop bars too. Some dislike flare, some like a little, some like a lot.

https://whatbars.com/ is worth a look for comparing bar shapes

Tried a few different cheap drop bars but settled in the ritchey venture max 46cm, they good for the price.
Testing expensive bars can be … expensive

I’ve got bikes with cowbells, cowchippers & woodchippers – I like them all but they have different uses.
I’ve got in ready some Dajia Far Bar ready for when Andy presses the button on the Stooge Rambler.

I bought Ritchey Beacons after IvanMTB (I think) recced them.

I couldn’t be more pleased: very comfy, easy to switch hand position, good control in the drops.

    Bastards to tape, though.

I bought some PNW Coast bars for my Trig which I really like over the stock bars, 520mm wide, shallow drop and short reach which is just what I was after. The stock bars were a little too narrow for me at 440. It did mean extending the front brake hose though.
