    Evening,

I've been thinking about buying a new set of wheels for my Orange Crush (my only bike) so the the orginals could be turned into a set of commuter wheels (1" slicks at 100psi). But this could well cost me £300ish when i've bought 2 sets of tyres, discs, wheels, cassete etc., and i'll still only be able to go as fast as the double ring on the front will let me.

So instead, i'm considering splashing a couple of hundred extra and buying a commuter. This way, i can put guards on it (if it doesn't have them already) and have a dedicated steed for the job.

I love the look of the new spesh steel langsters, but living in sheffield a fixie might not be too hot an idea so a proper geared bike might be better.

Anyone have any suggestions of a tourer type affair which isn't too grandad?

    Cheers

Ribble audax might be available at that price – full mudguards included.

Everyone will slag off their service, but great value for money – I like them so much I'm now on my third!

I'm selling my 2009 cannondale Badboy (v-brake version). its a medium in mint condition (piccies available if u want?). It can take racks and mudgards. I'm not commuting to work anymore so I am selling it for £320 ono. Its 6mnths old and still have original receipt / warrantee / guarentee cards etc. My Sister runs a pub in the centre of Sheffield so getting it dropped off won't be a problem if yr interested? Ta.
