Oh yes, they don’t like handing out money but happy to take it from vulnerable people who can’t afford it or have an addiction. Absolute scumbags the lot of them, especially the corp hospitality they give out to MPs to get leverage on legislation.

What a performance Paquetá has put in for West Aaaaaam today, but god knows how Coufal is still on the pitch

This Brentford v Villa game is fun, it’s degenerated into them kicking lumps out of each other.

At this rate Liverpool will have had 186 corners by the end or the match

I expect you’re behind the sofa Binners for every United goal kick! What is the plan? If Onana is just going to hoof it in to touch anyway, why make it so elaborate!

What does Gakpo have to do to get in ahead of Nunez?

I thought Onana was signed for his kicking capabilities?

Onana is giving me vibes of…

And he used to give me about 3 coronaries per match

    Enjoyed that.

    The red card was ridiculous.

@shinton – I should have taken your advice on the betting

I’ll take 0-0 every day. I thought we were going to get battered

Yep, I had a tenner so a nice £50 profit. Hovered over the cash out button a couple of times but let it ride to the end.

In other great news, Christianity Ronaldo and Co played a game in the Saudi League today, in return for their millions, to a crowd of…

    575 people.

In a ground with a capacity of 62,000

    😂

That won’t go down well in Saudi.

Yeah, you don’t want to start some sort of crusade against saudi football 😉

WTF has happened to Kieran Trippier??

He had a nightmare for the last few minutes, Chelsea got lucky tonight, they might only need to spend £200 million in January now 🤣

    He’s knackered. I think it’s that simple.

    He’s knackered.

He played 45 minutes after missing a game. And the recent mistakes that have have now cost three games were just shit decisions not to do with tiredness. It’s bizarre, after being perfect all season. 🤷‍♂️

The penalty was crap, you have to hit the target. But the error for the equaliser was just a tiny error, in fact watching Sky if Mudryk had been in the right place instead of miles out of position, it wouldn’t have mattered. Or indeed if it had been anywhere else on the pitch.

I don’t disagree, he’s in a run of bad form and one where every error is turning out bad. It shouldn’t be physical fatigue, although the whole team has that right now – that’s why injuries are so frequent, fatigue and built up fatigue is the single biggest indicator for players getting injured nowadays. But mental fatigue and confidence are just as hard to recover from. They can all do it, in their sleep, but as soon as doubt starts to set in, and you start thinking about what could go wrong?

If I was Eddie Howe I’d turn the undersoil heating off and pray for a cold spell and no games until mid January. They just need a break and recuperate.

They need some reinforcements, midfield is looking light just now, as is down the wings, a couple of decent signings in January could give them new life, as well as a few of the injured back, it’ll be a tough season no matter what for Newcastle, they may have billionaire backers, but on the field, they’re no bigger or better overall than the top 8 in the EPL these days, only Chelsea and ManU seem to be able to splurge £100s of millions without thinking about FFP.

also some talk that he has some issues in his personal life – not sure of what nature, but he pulled out of the recent England camp to fly home over it.

Think I might put a bet on forest going down if take of Nuno coming in is true, I take it their board haven’t seen him manage since his wolves days 😂

The entitled Forest fan in the office is outraged they stayed with Cooper so long, when they are clearly entitled to be in the Champions League places in their second season up.

One of his many annoying traits.

Not surprised Cooper has gone and it sounds like he and the owner didn’t get on. I’ve been to Forest away last season and this season and the home supporters were very vocal in their support for Cooper, seemed to have a real connection with match going supporters which probably is what stopped the owner getting rid of him sooner.

Nuno is a weird one, a less interesting and less successful version of Mourinho. I didn’t think we’d see him back in the premier league after Spurs and then going to the Saudi retirement home.

I think Steve Cooper did a fantastic job, especially with the owner buying so many players that he didn’t want/need. Delusions of grandeur I think – survival again and establishing themselves in the premier league is about right, the owner obviously thinks they should be aiming much higher. Need to walk before you can run.

Who will be first in the queue for Cooper? One or two premier league clubs might be considering their manager’s future with him now available.

Majority of Forest fans seemed to love him and what he’d done for the club.

Palace is the most likely destination which is a shame as he seems like a nice guy.

he had a horrible time in Saudi, especially falling out with players, wonder how he’ll get on with a team that buy players by the tonne and leave it to the manager to get them to work 😂

Nuno did a great job at Wolves and was loved by the whole city. I was bewildered and sad when he left but I think he really suffered during the pandemic being away from his family and in the end, lost his way.
I sincerely wish him all the best at Forest.

The ruling on the super league is a shot across the bows of FIFA and EUFA, I haven’t seen much analysis yet, but it could seriously undermine their authority over the clubs.

Hopefully it won’t resurrect the super league, but maybe it could lead to some reform.

    binners

It shows how far removed the ‘big’ clubs owners are from the fans that they think that the reason the Superleague proposal collapsed was because of a legal challenge from FIFA and EUFA.

I wouldn’t hold out any hope for meaningful reform within FIFA and EUFA. Surely two of the most corrupt organisations on the planet

Meh, biggest teams are winning everything as of now, and being given every helping hand UEFA can give them anyway, losing them to form a Euro (and Saudi?) league wouldn’t be that bad, more competitive normal leagues (not as sexy, but more teams could win), and Europe is taking over anyway with bigger CL, Europa League, etc almost being all year round now anyway.

I just can’t understand how it’ll be of benefit for most of the teams, it’ll only take a few years until those big teams in other leagues become minnows in this format, you take a lot of teams used to winning and they’ll be mid table or worse in this!

    It’s a crap idea.

Particularly for the English League. We have a fantastic pyramid, no other country has anything as extensive and we have the richest league in the World, playing the most entertaining football.

Most leagues have 1 or 2 fierce rivalries, England has dozens.

Why would you want to mess with that?

    binners

The Premier League is on another level to other European leagues, which are just dominated by one or two teams who just win everything every year. with yawn-inducing predictability. The Championship must surely be the most competitive and unpredictable league in the world.

Look where some of the so-called ‘big’ clubs are now. United in 7th, Chelsea in 10th, whereas Villa are 3rd, 1 point off the top and plenty of the ‘smaller’ clubs like Brighton and Brentford regularly take points off the ‘big’ clubs

I can’t see why anyone who loves football would want to do anything to jeopardise all that for some crap American franchise system

Rose tinted specs on their Binners. City have won the league 5 out of 6 seasons in dominating fashion, usually gaining in excess of 90 points. It looks like being closer this year but they’ll still win it. I do agree the league has more depth and quality than the rest though.

    argee

The jump from Championship to EPL is getting bigger every year, the depth is starting to be quite shallow in the bottom half!
