United getting absolutely whooped by a team they should be comfortably beating?

    Chelsea… ‘hold my beer…’

A few more performances of the same standard from them both and maybe Pochettino will finally end up at Old Trafford.

    Spurs have scored first
    3-2 to Newcastle then? 😂

Newcastle are dead on their feet already.

Could be revenge for the 6-1 last season

Hope Richy gets a hatrick, it’ll do him so much good.

If anyone wants an absolute banker of a bet then Romero to get carded is it. It was (inexplicably) 4/1 today so it’s just free money

He’s lucky to still be on the pitch. Lots of refs would have given that as a straight red

it’s such an unforgiving league, just 1/2 a yard off the pace and Spurs are tearing them a new arse.

Well played Spurs. You absolutely love to see it.

@binnersBet you’d like to see Romero in the Man U ‘defence’

    @bungle- abso-bloody-lutely I would!

He’s a great player. it’s one of the many things we’re lacking. Having someone who’ll rattle a few solid challenges in would be nice, but since Martinez has been out injured that’s been sadly lacking. The defenders we’ve got just back off attackers

We gave you one defender back in the summer,  you can’t have another!

Always curious at the number of people who spend far too much time hoping for the toon to do badly. I could understand it if they were mackems or were dominating the league like Man U or City have done but for a club that hasn’t won anything for more than 50 years and are perennial underachievers it seems to attract a disproportionate number of haters.

Deadlydarcy usually shows up when Man U get beat, but he also has a dislike for clubs backed by dictatorships. Expect to see more of him if Liverpool stay top.

I’ve just been reading the list of the highest played English players…

    Jordan Henderson – £665,000-per-week

    Harry Kane £415,000-per-week

    Jude Bellingham £345,000-per-week

    Raheem Sterling £325,000-per-week

    Marcus Rashford £300,000-per-week

    Jack Grealish £300,000-per-week

    Mason Mount £250,000-per-week

    John Stones £250,000-per-week

    Jadon Sancho £250,000-per-week

    Reece James £250,000-per-week

    Bonkers!

    Bonkers!

The most bonkers part of that list is Jordan Henderson being the highest earner, earning almost double the third highest-paid player and almost three times as much as the bottom four.

He’s had to give up playing competitive football to do it though.

Nonsense, the saudi league is a hard place to play. It’s little wonder they want to buy up other leagues. 😂

I know we all moan about refs and VAR, but at least its not as mental as Turkey 😳

All leagues in the country are now suspended after a club president storming onto the pitch and punching a ref in the face. Insanity!

Can’t see this ending well for the Turkish team, the punch was bad enough, but he was getting kicked in the head on the ground, UEFA and FIFA will push this hard as well, expect an exceptional punishment for this one!

Wow, first time I’ve seen the video. What on earth is the appropriate punishment for that?

What do you mean? Playing in front of an average crowd of 8000 and 8th in the league – Saudi league is going to be the next big thing… like the Chinese league…

Really shouldn’t laugh about the Turkish referee but just heard Kevin Bridges on the radio say “I wanna know how bad the decision must have been” which raised a guilty chuckle.

@MoreCashThanDash – got to admit I also had a giggle at Kevin Bridges comment

Lets face it, he just said what we were all thinking

Anyway… I’m really looking forward to tonight. I wonder how many Kane is going to put past us?

Nobody has a clue how ManU will play these days, either a gutsy win or a horrific defeat, there is no middle ground this year, literally.

They’re always one defeat away from a crisis it seems. I’ll go for a draw tonight, Bayern are through already.

Nah… we’ll do what we always seem to now do in Europe… we’ll score first, then lose 3-1

It’s the hope that’s kills you

Come on the Tractor Boys, decent result combined with Leeds dropping a game as well. Top of the Championship for at least 24 hours

My very vocal (when they are winning) Leeds friends are conspicuous by their absence on social media tonight.

No chance Millwall being able to keep us top tomorrow though.

Colour me unsurprised. Bottom of the group is probably a blessing, if a pretty embarrassing one.

No Thursday nights in places you’ve never heard of means we can really go for that Europa Conference League place for next season

It’s like Tuchel called up Ten Hag and asked for a practice match. ‘No tackles or running about please, just let us pass it about for 90 minutes, give the lads a jog about. Ta.’ Maybe they’re saving themselves for Anfield.

Think ManU and Chelsea need to spend at least £200 million each in January to try and get euro football next season 😁

To be honest, whilst I’m happy we’re top I’m probably happier there now 10 points between us and Leeds. Still if Millwall can spring a surprise I won’t say no

You laugh but Poch has already let it be known that they need to strengthen in January

Understandable. They’ve only spent a billion quid in the last season

We’ve still got the Glazers as owners so they’re likely to be scrabbling around to bring somebody in on loan from Huddersfield, while the donkeys they’ve spent half a billion quid on don’t even make it into the bench

We usually throw away about that number of points in the Christmas/New Year slump, good that we’ve planned better this year
