    How about “grosse point blank” got some reasonable publicity when realised, but not one of the big hitters, and has now kind of slipped into obscurity, certainly not one of the many cult films listed above which actually have quite large followings.
    Its kind of like well made pop music, its entertainment made to put a smile on your face, but just done so much better than most films with the same objective.

    Crime spree. funniest french crime caper with the cream of french actors in it, i picked it up from a video store cos it had Depardieu in it and watched it twice in a row.

    I watched Micmacs the other week. French, weird and hugely funny.

    I don’t know anyone else who has watched it, or even heard of it.
