They are are pretty crap, the chin bar gets in the way of your breathing a bit and one or two fairly innocuous impacts was enough to write mine off. You could probably get a decent XC lid and a full face for less than the cost of the Casco.

On the other hand the chinbar is close to your face and contains the EPS to absorb impact so it might be better at saving your face.

No I idea what they’re like, but they look bloody awful. Probably more protection than one of the Met Parachutes which cant see doing anything much in a big spill.

Probably but the full face would no doubt be a full MX lid that would be bigger and heavier than the moon and would boil your brain in the summer.

If you are looking for an itermediate lid, you wont go too far wrong with a spesh deviant, light, good airflow, proper chin guard.

i like my casco- i’ve had it for years and only use it nightriding now. I never got the chinguard with it but wear it as an open facer. I think it’s much better built than my giro xen & the spesh deviant.

I ordered one, it arrived, I’m made up! £125.

its much lighter than expected and feels snug when on, feels nice too. Perfect for my type of riding IMO.

These seem to have shot up in price, but if you can afford to wait a few days try buying from Germany.
A 2 sec search on ebay.de found them for €70 and I know when I asked a company last year they only wanted €10 for shipping.

Most comfortable helmet I have ever owned. BUT……. the plastic tabs for the chin guards broke on mine and the same happened to my brother in law, so just be careful when removing it.

    €70

careful, I bet that doesn’t include the chin guard!

Fieldmarshall, I’ll be using it as a lightweight full facer for Alp duty so probably won’t remove the chin guard at all.
