Another cyclist killed by a vehicle, South Wales this time

Somebodies freind, husband,partner,workmate, and fellow cyclist,no longer with them.

At least they have arrested the driver.

That’ll make 9 so far this year in Scotland. Apparently, the Scottish Govt are spending about twice as much (per head) as the UK Govt on “cycle safety”, though that’s still half as much as London.

🙁 the one in Wales is about a mile from where I grew up. Thoughts go out to the family.

One of the guys I work with son got knocked off his bike last Thursday in a hit and run, he is ok but the police think it was a deliberate act by the driver, another kid of 11 was knocked off his bike about 800 yards away on Friday. Police currently looking for a car derived red van.

I just posted regarding this. I just had a Facebook ping from gwent police, there trying to id the cyclist.

Is there to be no end to these posts?… thoughts go out to family and friends once again, not just tragic and needless deaths but serious injuries seem rife, 2 of mrs g’s triclub friends/members knocked off this week one ‘minor’ one serious, femur, knee and shoulder breaks (car turned right into side of her 🙁

Police are appealing for information about the poor chaps identity.
