ive always struggled with my photos not syncing from phone to chromebook. googled it time and time again and still not been able to suss it. finally found a google thread that worked, which said to got to phones photos app, choose ‘assistant’ from the bottom tab and make sure its set to sync from there.
seems to have worked, as now both my phone and laptop both have same pics in ‘photos’ which was the aim.
however, im now getting log-in failed notifications all the time. says login failed and then my gmail acc, the one im already signed in with on the account. i also log in through the internet and have no trouble, i can always access my gmail.
so why does it keep saying every few minutes that my logins failed? i click it and re-enter my correct password, says authentication failed.
it also says google sign-in attempt prevented. (weirdly enough i get an email saying this!) it says someone tried to sign in from an app that doesnt meet modern security standards. “we strongly recommend you use a secure app like gmail to access your account”
so…… whats going on???
thanks
EDIT: switch my auto sync off, it doesnt happen, so its tied in with that
