If you decide on the second hand route – a friend of mine has decided to move on her small custom Kona hardtail.

Decent build on it – Hope hubs, Mavic rims, Fox 32’s. Can get more info and pics if you like?

Singlespeed jump bike?

What is its use – how and where will she ride?

That bike will work well on jump park – but I think will be pig out on the trails. No gears, cannot put saddle up, no front brake, dry dirt jump tyres (more like slicks), heavy (cro-mo and steel axles etc).

Summary: if all she does is 6′ jumps at the park then go ahead. For all other trails you may as well stick with the old BMX.

are you sure you can afford that level of increase? it’s pretty steep.
