Wow, well done! I've never got a one in Wordle. I have in Quordle (and Lewdle!), but not Wordle. I got a bit scared today:

You're right, of course. I like to choose a random word each day with at least two vowels. Even as I was typing that word in, I thought it was daft, but there you go.

That's a strange strategy. I always start with "orate". It has three vowels and two high-frequency consonants. Constantly changing your starting word will generally give you less effective starting words. Having a repeated letter in your starting word is nearly always going to be a waste of a chance to get information.
Once I managed a streak of 100, I switched to hard mode. Before that, I nearly always followed up with "guild" and then "synch". Those three words cover all five vowels, "y", plus the highest frequency consonants. Obviously, if I had a decent number of hits on the first or second attempts, I would start trying to guess the word.

I do start with a random word tho, no repeats and two vowels, I reckon I get more from the consonants, and hard mode. My maximum streak is 162 and frankly I was glad when I broke it- I knew it would happen, I knew it probably wouldn't be my fault and keeping it up every day was becoming a chore. Now I just dip in when I feel like it.
I'm now on 295. If I make it to 365 then I might just stop.

Me too, normally. Today's popped into my head and I submitted it anyway for some reason, despite having a repeat. I nearly fell out of bed when it showed all green!

Today I used the words suggested by @thols2 on the previous page - partly because getting it in 2 yesterday meant it was unlikely that my normal starting word of STARE would be anywhere close!
I do STARE, DOUGH and BLINK as my first 3 - unless I get a significant input in the first couple of guesses to allow better options.

Thing with playing hard mode (where you are forced to use your previously successful letters) is that you will generally get it in fewer attempts, but you really need to sit down with a piece of paper to figure out possibilities. I've been lucky with it so far, but it means you can't use a turn to eliminate multiple letters when you get a tricky word.
