MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
First, can anyone recommend a glue to resolve this problem on my chairs. Two of the six have this problem, they keep popping open.
Second. I'm restoring this old 1930's card table left in our new house. Any idea what wood it is? It has been stained/varnished.
When I sand it the dust is super fine and the colour of pepper. very fine grained.

Based on the photos....
The wood has probably shrunk and you need to completely remove the old glue.
White pepper sounds a bit like oak. But if its massively oxidised and just "grey" it could be almost anything.
Find the image url that ends in .jpg paste that into the box that pops up when your press img in the text editor.
Give up, had this before and had to open a new web page.
Vono card tables are mahogany normally i think. My grandparents had a couple.
