Looking for a good X training shoe, which will offer decent running support up to 10k and good all round support on gym based exercises such as tread mill, x-trainer, Watt bike, etc. Don't intend doing circuits.
Appreciate that you get what you spend, but don't want to go really high end and ultra light - would £80/90 cover it ?
Thanks

Cross training and running demand different things from your shoes.
Cross training normally needs less cushioning and more stability in a flatter shoes.
Running needs more cushioning and a more shock absorbing sole.
Nike Metcon are the go-to cross training shoe, but I’m not sure I’d want to run 10k in them.
I think, unless you’re pushing serious weight, I’d go with a running shoe of some kind, Nike Pegasus is my default suggestion. Maybe a Zoom Streak as it’s a bit firmer and flatter since it’s designed as a race shoe.

Edit, just re-read what you’ll use it for. Ignore the Metcon, get a running shoe, that’ll be fine for what you want to use it for.
