Any recommendations for sites people have used would be great and also your experiences of the lodgers or landlords would equally be good... scary stuff!

Thanks

I found my landlord when I was a student through my cycling club. Worked well - he didn't mind a bit of bike mechanic-ing in the living room 😀 !

I'll save you the search. The guy on the left is looking for a room.

I think if you're in a indemand area Gumtree / local hospital etc. I'm not so used spadsroom. Com. Gumtree rents were too low for me to make the sacrifice of sharing facilities.

Tried a few of the sites mentioned and always found gumtree the best and also the cheapest. Might be different if you're in a major city

😀 nice suggestions! not as many horror stories as I'd imagined though!

My area doesn't even come up on half of those "search by cities" requirements as it's just a market town near the lake district. Spareroom does have 4 people on it though but they sound like serial killers
