Not related to my last thread about my electrics.

At work we need some bright torches. They need to last long enough, be rechargable and be tough.

A couple will be used by security at night. Not bothered that they need to be tiny and light, just good robust bright torches.

Anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Chris

Fenix TK11 (TK is short for "Tank") R5.

Really small, super tough, can use rechargeable, 60 lumens on low (14 hours) 285 (2.7 hours) on high. Totally waterproof.

Got one recently and it's excellent. Get rechargeables (18650s) and a charger from Smudge - mtbbatteries.co.uk

They come with normal batteries but they don't last long.

Don't be fooled into getting the lesser R2 - it's the same price on some ebay shops.

Surefire G2. Or E2E if you want to spend a bit more. Can use rechargeable 123a batteries, G2 as std will give 60 lumen but is available with a LED head that gives 120. E2E has 120 lumen head and is smaller and lighter.

Both have NSN and are popular with our forces (The E2E is the same as a Scout weapon mounted light without the mount bit, used by UKSF, SFSG, DEVGRU....) and spare parts are all available along with excellent warranty backup.

I lost my Fenix in France, must ge ta new one soon. Great torch. There are much cheaper ones, but great quality and customer service is apparently quite good.
