Serious answer - see if you can find some you can try. A lot comes to personal preference. I have large hands and 'standard' mice give me RSI. I do much better with a large logitech trackball.
Logitech ms2s linked to above is good, the MX vertical I had was quite dissappointing and nowhere near as good as other vertical mice I used from Autley which was very comfortable - the MX was a poor angle and shape and the side of your hand would rest on the desk and cause soreness.
I have this Logitech keyboard and mouse with three channels so can readily switch it between devices. Didn’t buy it for that but well useful for alternately plugging work and home laptops into the desk stuff (monitor / keyb / mouse)

I have one of those and I didn't buy it for that feature either. The mouse also has a Back button on the side which I keep catching on the side of my thumb and jumping back on the internet

I currently have a cheap and cheerful Logitech m185 mouse and keyboard combo. The small size doesn't phase me.
Size 9 glove, wireless as I sometimes end up on night shifts using my laptop in the van.
Looked at the Logitech ms3s but put off slightly at the cost. The ms2s looks good.
Anker vertical ergonomic mouse.
It is how mouses should always have been. Takes about 20 minutes of WTF to get used to the different hand position and now a conventional mouse feels like a really bad bit of ergonomics.

I use one at work & bought it for myself after getting frequent wrist pain at work - our IT department were useless at sorting something out - I do a lot of 3D CAD so most of my day is spent waggling a mouse around.
The soft touch coating is peeling off in places, but it's 8 years old this month and only cost £12 or so at the time.

At home I have a different one, which is just as good, perhaps better in some ways. But, it has some ridiculous LED lights on it that I don't think can be turned off. They aren't particularly intrusive, but are a little 'teenage gamer'.

It's getting rather old, but it's a good mouse.
I like the idea of the vertical / ergo models but I imagine it's not as good when used in a van and your thigh as a mouse mat.

Scroll wheel can be released by a button which makes it spin with very little resistance, this mode is useful for flying up and down long documents and STW threads.
I had a generic Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse package before - mouse was absolutely bobbins - missed clicks, randomly switching off, totally useless.
Replaced the mouse with a MS surface mouse which is very neat, accurate and reliable. Wasn’t earthshatteringly expensive either
For my Mac I’ve got their fancy pants multi touch mouse. It was offensively spendy but oh so lovely to use
Yep. Apple Magic mouse. Very tactile and rechargeable. Bluetooth too.
If you want cheap the Amazon basics one will do the job and is £10
Else Logitech do some nice ones but I would stay away from RAZR - had a few of them and they tend to break
In a van/on the knee, I think I'd want a trackball type mouse. I have an old wireless keyboard with a trackball built into it that was great, laptop on dash and keyboard/trackball on lap.
Unfortunately it had an appetite for batteries, was reluctant to connect and the dongle was 2 inches long so would get bent in the USB port and was held together with tape.
I have been using trackball nice for ages now.
Logitech m575 is great, I do have a cheap Chinese copy for work as well
Had a few wireless logitec that I really like but the microswitches seemed to last less and less each time. Changed to a wired Razer Death Adder gaming mouse Which is so much better for General office and Cad use
Have been using a Logitech MX Master 3 for a few years and love it, the sideways scroll wheel is really useful at work. I also have a Logitech Anywhere 2 mouse in my laptop bag for use away from home and like that as well.
