it's bloody brilliant the free games every month (have only just found the joys of online gaming only 15 + years late to party).

last month sleeping dogs,BUT today i downloaded dead island and it's fantastic (gory but fantastic fun).playing co op with someone else is a blast literally in some cases 🙂

What? They've redesigned their interface to look like the internet circa 2004?

All I'm saying is that it's not free! Those games can be had for peanuts from CEX etc. I have XBL.... 12 months- 27-28 for 12 months if you shop about which is the price of a pint per month round here. Not a bad service generally unless you play BF4! More of a problem with EA but still.

They've designed their patches to take six hours?

Well, it is if you're already a subscriber. If you're paying for Gold already then it's free, absolutely.

Nothing is free although MS want us to think it is. If you had access to online gaming plus downloads of older games with no subscription that would be 'free'.

Still working through sleeping dogs. Reminds me of shenmue. I see them as free games, I pay 30 for the year for gold, the games probs cost more than that 2nd hand in total anywho.

Live is a far superior product to PS online, Paying the £37 annually is nothing when you get 24 free games in that price and the rest and they're not poor games either,
The Playstation 3 service is poor at best, I often wonder how something so poor gets the fan base it has.

Next Gen is a different matter and I suspect Sony have improved many of the issues of its predecessor.

Don't you get your email address & details passed on to the interweb for free with PS Live...
That's got to be worth something

I love my PS3 but it has to be said, the browser is unbelievably naff.

It's not even £37. Bit of shopping around had that down to well under £30 for my lad to waste hours playing Minecraft online with his mates.
