Sunday lunch in Lancaster

LittleMissMC flies the nest to Lancaster University on Sunday, so I'd like to give her a decent meal before her diet consists of Supernoodles and ginger for the next 4 years.

Any suggestions? Pub grub, Italian, whatever, not fussy really.

Many thanks.

Where's she staying - on campus or up in town?

First year, so she's on campus.

Montane Factory Shop was thoroughly checked out on the open days. As was the wool shop. And Booths is the nearest supermarket of course.

I never went there until after I'd graduated and had a job!

If you are driving her there, a little detour through the Trough of Bowland will offer you the delights of the Inn at Whitewell - https://www.innatwhitewell.com. Alternatively the Waterwitch by the canal is a nice location - https://www.waterwitchlancaster.co.uk/food

I’ve had a lovely meal at the Quarterhouse in the middle of town.

This is a very casual / industrial place with a just few bar stools to sit in and eat but the pizza is very very good!
