In 6 months time I will again be seeing the legendary guitar god Joe Bonamassa. Yep, tickets have been ordered already 😯

Off to see The Twilight Sad play next month, and might pick up some tickets to see Four Tet (more because he's great at choosing support acts than for his own live stuff).

Last gig seen - AC/DC earlier this year. Next one - my mate's band 'Tribe', who are getting rave reviews by the metal press (and plenty of good words by none other than Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson on his Radio 6 show.

Possibly Propagandhi and Strike anywhere on the 1st of Dec, definitely Dillinger Four on the 17th. I've never seen Sunn0))) live, I'm not sure if I'd enjoy it... I tend to prefer that kind of stuff through headphones in the dark.

Iggy and the Stooges doing Raw Power with Suicide supporting doing their first LP.

Hammersmith Apollo next May.

Have mixed feelings about these kind of gigs, but looking forward to this one.

Funny how there are more "reformed" bands than current ones on this thread.

Cinnamon_girl - good taste. I'm seeing Joe B on 1st Dec in Bournemouth. Surely Aynsley Lister isn't up and coming though - he's been around for years. You've reminded me to check out some of his recent stuff.

After Joe B:

Half Man Half Biscuit (Jan)
Depeche Mode (Feb)
Dave Gorman (March?)

@flyingmonkeycorps, You HAVE to see Sunn0))) live, the volume genuinely adds something really important to what they do. The records don't really do it for me much, but I saw them in Melbourne 4 or 5 years ago and was totally blown away (although my mate doing sound that night ignored the volume restrictions and pushed everything into the red on the mixing desk). I've seen My Bloody Valentine live and Sunn0))) on that occasion made them sound like the Pastels...

Also saw Clutch at the Koko a few weeks ago.

A bit good, weren't they? I loved it when they used to have the organ as well, but the stripped back sound really suits their newer albums.

You HAVE to see Sunn0))) live

+1. Don't own any of their records, not sure I would enjoy them that much. But live was memorable, to say the least! Almost lost control of my bowels 🙂

Sadly, don't have anything lined up at the moment, saving for a couple of expensive holidays 🙁 Going to Sonar in Barcelona next year though hopefully. Waiting for some more local stuff to come up too...

Half Man Half Biscuit in Sheffield - always a pleasure, never a chore etc.

Secret Green (Francis Lickerish, ex Enid) at the Trades in Hebden, end of the month - believe the new album is very good, and my mate Andy is playing bass for them, so got to give him some support!

Reel Big Fish in Manchester in the New Year. Partners daughter likes them, and TBH they are really good fun live - Ska with a proper party atmosphere. I get more exercise dancing at their gig's than I do on most rides, very good for the calf muscles 🙂
