This is one of the major disappointments with living on the SE coast. Humph. On the IOW ferry and they could do with turning the bloody heating up too.

Thin covering in Skipton, which means plenty in the Dales normally. And it isn't going anywhere at this temperature.

dunno about snow in aberdeen but judging by the number of crashes reported on local news there must be at least a 1/8th of an inch.

It's actually happening - in Hampshire. Winter, Christmas, SNOWWWWWW !

Oh, hang on, that's not a blizzard-bearing cloud at all; just some steam 😳

Stopped about 5 minutes after posting last night.
🙂

However, frozen solid.
Two cars lost it on the half mile hill down to Towneley Park this morning and ended up on the golf course.

Cycling abandoned for the day, off to buy a Christmas tree, back in work tomorrow so it had better warm up a bit before then.....

Several cms here in the Beacons. Heavy showers, followed by some melting mean it stays pretty constant, about 3 cm on the cars at the house.

Apparently hoofing it down in Oswestry, and the A5 towards Wrexham is currently a nightmare. Just north of Wrexham though all ok.

Bit of snow on the Black Isle.

Passed a car in the ditch (again) on my way into work. Definitely a day to take it easy!

30-40mm to scrape off the car before returning home tonight...

6” here on the Varteg (fnar fnar) and settled. No more overnight but petunmore forecast through the early hours tomorrow.
More over in Ebbw and the Heads of the Valley was a total white out last night at 7pm.
Winter tyres on the M135 were f’ing awesome though.
Loads of fun and the only slides were intended

Llandrindod Wells (mid-Wales) had about 3 inches yesterday and another 4" so far this morning. And it's still a blizzard.

Looks like a turbo session this morning. Hills are all steep here so would just be pushing the mtb.

That was 30 mins ago and it's noticeably deeper now. Dogs love it, kids love it, I'm happy to go for a long walk in the snow. Only slight issue is my car is in Ross 5 miles away and I've no idea how I'm going to retrieve it 🙂

@WF - great pic that.

O ford has come to a halt with snow. I came in at 6am to get ready to shoot the Santa Run for a local hospice. Event has been cancelled due to the conditions. O ford City buses have not managed to get a single bus out. Not one.
Chaos. And opposite side of the road to me there is a girl in the shortest miniskirt I've seen since the 70s and stilettos and fishnets.
Must be from Newcastle with her little leather jacket on protecting her from the cold.

SFA bar a bit of ‘thick rain’ here in North Cardiff, but I’m told the A470 is closed at Story Arms, although if I was my decision I might close it just to avoid the usual car-nage as people unfamiliar with well, driving, drive too quickly between the [s]parked[/s] abandoned cars on the road side.

I here London has had a light dusting though, my god help us all. 😉

Approx 4” so far in Stourbridge on top of what we had on Friday, and it’s still coming down

Sadly it’s my Nieces Christening today, Church in Wolves, do after in Trysull, family here from around the country, food and drink all paid for and prepped...... We’ve had to cancel.

So I feel a bit guilty if I go “wahey bike ride time then”

It snowed. Then it didn't snow. More snow was predicted, thicker, heavier more weather warning worthy snow.....which didn't come. But looking down the valley it now seems like unforeseen snow is inbound.

Love the snow, but for the first time I'm not back in Shropshire with my parents but up in York, missing it all. Had photos from them this morning with about 6" of snow in them and still snowing heavily. A bit gutted to be missing it all! Read something saying it's the heaviest snow fall in Powys/Shrops/Herefordshire since 1991 - thus in my life time.

M4 pretty snowy. They've suspended roadworks at reading and reopened it as the surrounding roads are too snowy to be used as a diversion.
