Snow for everyone on Saturday then...

Not lookin like snow here in Vegas. We've actually had a nice welcome into winter. Still around 65 during the day but the wind chill can make it feel like 30 some days! Usually nice to go for a ride around 5 for the sunset.

I've just had a phone call from the Mrs to tell me she's not coming home tonight cos she hasn't got her snow tyres on and its unlikely to be gritted tonight.

Nothing here and doubt it'll breech the hill even if it does move south.
40+mph winds though - again...

Somewhere there is a markting manager who is reading this and sitting, happily congratulating themselves on a job well done.

Ha! you are both right to an extent. There are a couple of road closures nearby due to snowgates being closed and a high risk of disruption warning. She would be driving the Laggan to Spean bridge road and having driven her car with and without snowtyres I can tell you that her car is a pig in the snow without them.
She could get through but she doesn't need to so she wont bother.

I was looking forward to riding today, even on my non fat bike. However the kids' school is shut so it's sledging instead 😀

Next week is shaping up cold and snowy all over Highland area.

Even Dunblane is due some, plus a couple of days below zero...

yr.no is (wrongly) suggesting -12 in Dunblane and a few cm of snow each day.

It's snowing a little in Balerno (on the edge of Edinburgh). I hope it hangs around as I fancy a nice snowy walk in the Pentlands this weekend.

Cat & Fiddle closed due to ice at the moment.
Bring on some proper low temperatures and real snow. Fed up of this cold rain and sleet. 🙁

Dear God,

Make it snow so work is closed and schools are closed too.

Then we can make snowmen with the kids.
