I find that sort a bit too chewy for my liking. And prefer fruits and nuts style - bit traditional when it comes to cereal.
I went through a lot of options and mostly found them too sweet. Then I stumbled across Jamie Oliver's Pukkola (it is also in one of his books):

My own recipe has morphed from the standard one over time (but that's the beauty of it). And if you remember to put it in the fridge the night before. Hmmmmmm.
Bit of a hassle to put together (I now do big batches that last several weeks) but it has been my breakfast cereal of choice for several years now. And my late night snack. Speaking of which...
Neil
dorset cereals, choose the museli with the added bits you like.
Dorset ones of lovely and also use to make JO's muesli slightly modified as lovely.
Dorset Super High Fibre one.
I get that and make my own from: Four grain porridge, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and raisins, which is a much cheaper interpretation of the basic dorset museli.
I like Aldis swiss style museli and a snip at 99p.
Aldi luxury Suisse stuff, and I've tried just about every other type, including the likes of Waitrose finest..
Jeez lads! You could pebble dash a wall with that lot....
I'll second Dorset Cereal, any flavour, try them with yogurt!
I'm trying muesli for breakfast (as I type). Alpen has 30g of sugar in 100g. I know it's because there's a lot of fruit in it, but is this a bit high? Frosties etc are supposed to be bad because of their high sugar content.
Go muesli club!
Lidls sugar free museli's the kiddie! No artificial sweetners, not too much dried fruit and it's not ridiculously chewy - ie, you can pour it into your bowl, add the milk and finish it within a few minutes. You're not still grinding away at it some twenty minutes later!

BTW, before tucking into a bowl of museli please make sure that you take the trouble to line your stomach with a proper breakfast 😉 .....
I consider myself a connoisseur in such matters and without doubt, Lidl's Goody Special Luxury Fruit and Nut Muesli at £1.59 is the outright winner. Be sure to buy the blue, and not the green Tropical version.
2nd vote for Aldi's Swiss style..
And @ £1 a box? Bargin...
tesco crunchy oat cereal with tropical fruit, mmmmmmmmmmmits in a bag rather than a box
Same for me! Just tucking into a bowl at my desk whilst catching up on [s]work emails[/s] STW
Pah, Weetabix in summer, porridge in winter (Oct'- May!)
Dorset super high fibre or fruit, nuts and seeds
Dorset, Perlwood or Jordans; the perfect mix is half and half Perlwood and Dorset standard.
I was coming on to recommend the one that Kimbers mentioned at the top. Tis lovely, with either milk or yoghurt. Yum. This week I have mainly been adding blueberries in.
This week I have mainly emptied the rabbit cage each morning and eaten the contents........sugar free, fat free, free
Just make your own Bircher muesli - google it.
I'm a porridge year rounbd man, myself, though I've been eating up a packet of [s]cardboard[/s] Bran Flakes recently.
Are there no Alpen fans out there? 🙁
Sorry, I thought this was STW - I appear to have stumbled across the Womens institute forum by mistake. Are you all on crack?
yes.
Dorset cereals for me too.
1/4 of a lemon (organic, chopped whole including the peel)
1 grated apple
1 chopped banana
oats
millet flakes
raisins
dried apricots
walnuts
almonds
linseed (ground in coffee grinder)
sesame (ground in coffee grinder)
sunflower seeds
Oatbran
Water to mix, till wet.
Eat, groan, ride, last all day if necessary
Please tell me this thread is a work of epic trolling. Please?
If not, take a long look at yourself in the mirror and think about what you've done.
I totally agree with Flash - have you lot looked down your pants lately? You'll be wanting to share your feelings next, for Christs sake.
I like branflakes.
(that is me sharing my feelings)
It was bound to happen.
Are you all on crack?
have you ever tried to eat anything whilst on crack let alone museli ?
Kev
No, but I'm willing to try anything once.
hate muesli though, does crack make it taste better?
Mighty Muesli here, or else Alpen without sugar or the extra fruity one.
Is this still going? God al-f***ing-mighty.
Muesli Warning !!! A friend of mine drowned in a bowl of muesli.
He got dragged under by strong currents 😆
