its for my nephew for xmas, He loved the 'new super mario bros' one and i'm getting him another one this christmas, but theres loads to choose from.
He likes the platform type games rather than mario cart / olympics stuff.

Mario 64 DS is tremendous.
Partners in Time is very good, but might be a bit complicated if he's very young.
