Suddenly my paypal account want to use echeques for a gift payment. It worked earlier in the week fine funded from instant bank transfer but now that option is not available.
Any clues?

normally something to do with an expired/expiring debit card

Thanks you were right, paypal wont do bank payment unless backed by credit card.
Payla it seems consider the credit card is 'expired' if within 1 month of expiry date.
But the bank doesnt issue a new card until 2 weeks before exiry!
I hate paypal.

Does sound a bit strange, try doing one to my account and I'll let you know if it works ok from this end
