The Mrs has just won a free short break at any UK Park Resorts facility for our family of 4 (kids aged 8 and 10).
Without wanting to sound a snob or ungrateful, big caravan parks are not my cup of tea at all. So just wondering if anyone has been to a Park resort that they would recommend for being a bit less Hi-de-Hi and maybe quieter but still interesting enough for the kids

Lower Hyde, Isle of Wight.
Really good riding from your van door and plenty in the area to keep kids/mrs happy. Oh, and excellent Pasty's available through-out the Island as well 😉

Nice one, not going to get the chance to take the bike though.

Could you not sneak one into the packing when she's not looking ? 😛

I went to one on the Isle of Wight , think it was Nodes point. It was in a lovely setting.

I also went to one in north Wales and it had dead flies in the swimming pool. It may have improved since then though.

Remember to take plenty of dettol to clean your caravan first 😉

if I were you I'd avoid the north wales site, it is without doubt the worst place we haver stayed. we were actually looking for somewhere else after day 1.
