He's once again forgotten that other politicians have been murdered... while he complains about "hurty words".

Poor old multi-millionaire, multi- house owning "man of the people" second hand salesman Nige... Don't slam the door on your way out.

Oh Dear. I'm not too sure where all this fits his 'man of the people' image.

Sounds like one of those aging rock stars who make an album about how awful it is being rich and living in a big mansion, while being expected to pay tax

This is great! Proper meltdown territory! He's quoting Dominic Cummings and saying the UK is a communist country 🤣

He really has lost it hasn't he.  Saying that people outside the country should be able to make donations to uk political parties, the vast majority of the country if asked will say that is a bad thing

Resigning as an MP... to force a bye-election... seeking re-election... going for the "if they vote for me, it doesn't matter how corrupt I am" line. I suspect it will work (in the eyes of many voters).

There's no way that him taking a £5m bung does anything except make him look whoppingly corrupt.

That's some rant - his buddies Putin and Trump would be proud of him. His 'Britain is broken' line he's repeating, maybe persuading himself. I wonder who broke it?

Haha dumbass, he knows that parliamentary investigations can be restarted if the mp leaves and then is reelected. This doesn't go away idiot

The details in the Farage stories don't matter. Public just hear just that he's been taking loads of money off people and that one of them has been inside.  If more comes out then it prolongs and reinforces the story. Undermines his "I'm different to all them other politicians" bs

Listened to the guy from the Times who broke the latest story and he said Jenrick essentially confirmed all the details on Kuenssberg on Sunday - so there only defence is nothing to see here and it's a left wing elite Labour supporting media (the Times!!?) stitch up, which sounds like whining to the wider world

Failure to report a crash that resulted in a car being written off, and not telling the insurer, is a crime isn't it?

"Farage says he is resigning as MP for Clacton, triggering a by-election in the constituency."

bye bye and good riddance, only I suspect this will not be the end of this grandstanding odious individual 🙁

People vs the establishment says someone whose latest funding scandal involves a member of the aristocracy.

Also still talking about that illegal hack which he has forgotten to provide evidence for.

Hopefully be amusing how Lowe responds to this.

Get in!

Grifting spiv. Sadly this won't be the last of the unflushable turd, he'll probably be a guest on the Liz Truss Show where they both agree that The Establishment had it in for them.

I'm not sure what that really means yet. Is he just side stepping the risk he'll end up having to run the shit show he helped create. Hence running in a Clacton by-election.

What a weapons grade bell end - resigning to fight a by-election from where he as resigned.

What a ton of wasted money, effort & time to do this. Just do your work as an MP you ****ing grifter.

Let's hope the whiny attention seeker faces even more scrutiny in the run up to the by-election, and this whole ruse backfires.

his buddies Putin and Trump would be proud of him.

Literally the only thing in that self-indulgent rant that surprised me was him saying Putin was a dangerous threat that the current government were not protecting us from (or something like that).

Interesting move.  By calling a by election will give him front pages and headline TV news for 6 weeks plus to push his agenda

Also Farage v the world is a narrative will enjoy

Considering a large proportion of the media is investigating him and also loves the smell of blood in the water,  I can see this not going the way he wants it

Of course, there’s also the chance he loses the by-election…

He gets that anyway aside from when he is in hiding as he has been for most of this year.

Be an interesting campaign with him hiding in a fridge the entire time.

It's going to work.

To be rude about the people of Clacton - this is the people of Clacton we are talking about. There is a reason he chose it as his seat to stand for of choice.

He's going to use the webbed fingered fetid turds of Clacton's voting choice as a pseudo national referendum that he's a bit of alright and the claims against his are just the corrupt media and jealous traditional parties trying to get rid of him to protect their wicked interests.

Trump will be proud. It's really quite clever.

"I've decided that the people of Clacton should be the judges of my actions," he says.

C'mon citizens Clacton, do the decent thing...  🤔

How quickly could Kier put through a Bill that excludes resigning MPs from standing in future elections anywhere in the England/ N Ireland/ Scotland/ Wales for "x" amount of time like 3+ years?
