Just started Man in the High Castle. Couple of episodes in, I'm not convinced, she's enjoying though
I've started watching it. About 4 episodes into the 2nd season. I'm enjoying it apart from the fact the actress playing Juliana is one of the worst I've ever seen. I genuinely can't work out what kind of character she's trying to portray as she has basically one emotion or facial expression throughout the entire thing, regardless of what the situation is
We are about three episodes in to Sleepers on Netflix, bent dutch cop series. So far it's been quite good.
Finished it, it was actually one of the better things I've watched in a while.
Spider Noir
on Prime , watching it with sons 15 & 13 and theyre enjoying it as much as me
great to see Cage not overdoing it
its better in B&W
I’m quite enjoying Alpha Males on Netflix not sure what it’s like in English but in native Spanish it’s well bonkers.(it’s probably not for everyone but for improving my Spanish I like to watch Spanish stuff that engages).
We've been watching Ponies on Sky - mildly amusing Cold War spy caper set in Moscow. What I am transfixed by is Emilia Clarke's eyebrows. I never noticed them on GoT - probably my attention was drawn elsewhere - but while she's wearing clothes it's hard to keep your eyes from observing however how they have a life of their own.
Well, we've given up on Man in the High Castle. It was just a bit rubbish

I can't find that on Netflix. It does sound good.

My bad!!? C4 Walter presents , sorry!!!
There's a new series of Citadel on Amazon Prime. For those that can't remember (and quite honestly, why would you?!) the original was trying a bit too hard to be a serialised Bond but with God knows how many double crosses and plot twists and it somehow contrived to cost $400m to make, probably because every scene had the HDR+ special effects treatment.
The new series is similarly wildly convoluted and contrived although it's decent enough pass-the-time entertainment.
Also on Amazon Prime, I've seen there's a third series of Good Omens (David Tennant / Michael Sheen) and the first two series were pretty good so fairly high hopes for that one when I get around to watching it.

Has this actually been released then? It was canned for a while after Neil Gaiman was reported to be a bit, er, unpleasant
Ballerina, free on Prime, is good if you're partial to a bit of John Wick action (actually much better than the last JW film).
Things the wife and I have watched over the last couple of months that we have enjoyed to a lesser or greater extent in no particular order:
NowTV/HBO
Euphoria - Final season is odd but probably just about worthy of your time.
The Pitt - Binged the first season in a weekend, very much enjoying the current season. Try and steer clear of sppilers as the whole of the second season has aired in the US.
Last Week Tonight - Continues to be appointment viewing.
Boardwalk Empire - I never actually got round to watching this when it aired but I'm really enjoying it.
Rooster - Gentle feel good Steve Carrell comedy.
Under Salt Marsh - entertaining welsh thriller.
Netflix
Legends - It was quite good.
Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen - Enjoyable Horror, very odd.
Disney+
Daredevil Born Again - Yay comics!
Paradise - S2 was a decent follow up to very good S1.
Wonderman - Superpowers but different...and Ben Kingley
Punisher: One Last Kill - pretty sure there are more deaths than words uttered.
Apple TV
Margo's Got Money Troubles - I'll watch anything with Nick Offerman in it but this is delightful!
Prime
The Boys - Final Season was a bit of a mess.
Spider Noir
on Prime , watching it with sons 15 & 13 and theyre enjoying it as much as me

Yes! Wrapped up the Boys last week so was looking for something to watch when watching alone, and it's great fun! Not taking itself too seriously, Nic Cage is perfect for it.
Dorohedoro - S2 just finished - it's great. Roll on S3.
The Boys S5 was ok. The plot has been all over the place for 3 series though. Retained its humour (mostly), decent enough ending. Can't help feeling it could have wrapped in S3 and been consistently excellent.
Started watching From. Ok so far - going to give it a few more episodes but it has that "going a bit Lost" air about it.
Good Omens is just a tie up single episode.
I was a bit gutted when I watched it and it was indeed one episode.
Didn’t see the point in it.
Bit like the Peaky Blinders film and possibly the last season of GOT 🙂

This was my impression too. Would have worked well as three seasons.

It did start well - but around the lighthouse stage it goes completely Lost ..
We just started The Boroughs. 2nd episode in and seems an easy watch - once you get your head around its based in a retirement community for people who all look mid/late 50s (even though most actors are early 70s).
Its got the Stranger Things feel about it, so again, I hoping it doesnt follow that script too.
Maybe they'll have a massive break between seasons and the actors will all get old and... er... um...
We've just watched La Forêt, a French crime drama, cos it's based in the Ardennes forest where we're currently on holiday. Not bad, your fairly standard "girl gets murdered in the forest" whodunnit, and as with many of the French police dramas we've watched, most of the plot points derive from the French police seemingly being absolute morons.
Also started Lupin, a French heist caper. Couple of episodes in, seems like a decent, fun, just the right amount of disengage brain-type watch.
Nic Cage is perfect for it Looks like he needs a poo through all of it.
May have been mentioned... But Maul: Shadow Lord is quite entertaining.
Disney plus. Animated series.
Took me a while to get past questioning whether 'is this for kids' and just enjoy it. Love that the backgrounds are deliberately backgrounds and not too polished.
Richard Ayoade's voiced character is almost today's Jar Jar Binks. But that's not his fault 🙂

It's great fun, but been a long wait for the fourth season, apparently due in October.
Four seasons - second series on NFlix, it's not amazing, but there are some good lines (mostly from Danny/Colman Domingo) and there are some relatable parts in there for me at least, in the relationship between the married straight couple.
Aside from that we seem to have exhausted a lot of what Prime and NFlix have at the moment, that we care enough to watch anyway. Might have to find a new evening pastime.

Yeah, it's pretty good but does require some wilful ignorance of mahoosive plot holes...
Just finished Hide and seek on Netflix, Danish murder mystery, dysfunctional detective etc. Follow on from The Chestnut Man. Actually quite good.
Widow’s Bay an Apple is fun. A few jumps for the non horror clientele. But an odd bunch of characters and well acted. I like the quality of Apple over the quantity of ‘flix.

I second this.
Furiosa, now free on Prime. Very good, despite some dodgy CGI better suited to a video game cut-scene. I went back and rewatched Fury Road (also currently free) off the back of it, and think I actually prefer Furiosa.
Just finished Season 3 of Lupin, won't be bothering with Season 4. It crossed the line between 'daft fun' and 'just stupid' and kept going...

Yeah, we started it Sunday and it's good so far. Some Lovecraftian vibes to it; but also properly funny in spots. "A clown killer - like a guy who only killed clowns?"
Just watched Tip Toe, not perfect but some really tense moments that really pull you in. Not watched Adolescence but wonder if there might be some similarities, think I remember people saying it should be shown in schools and that's how I feel about Tip Toe.
New (and final) season of The Bear incoming, Friday 26 on Disney+
I watched The Accused on C4 catch up last night. Examines potential miscarriages of justice. Last night's was one of the worst programs I've sat through in ages, the accused guy's family and friends, none of who had any facts to add, just wittering on that he couldn't have done it, no critical push-back from the program itself and no real new evidence. Based on the program and the lame talking heads they used I've no real issue with the guy being banged up tbh
Dogshit.
Anyone doing Take That on Prime tonight ?
House of Dragon comes back on Monday. I never watched GOT until the last couple of years but it became addictive in the end.

I'm two episodes in and it's very uncomfortable viewing (in a good way). I'll always watch David Morrisey because of 'One Summer.'

I hope they stick with the format they've used for new series with two episodes to start.
I've really enjoyed Cape Fear on Apple TV so far. 4 episodes in and it seems it's a got a bit of a twist on the film version.
Also enjoying Spider Noir and the second series of Sugar
Watched the first couple of Cape Fear so far. Have seen both films and both are classics (especially the Bob Mitchum one), being a series seems to be working nicely. Liking the call back soundtrack and great cast.

This makes me both happy and sad. I don't think it needs more series, but I'll miss it when it's gone, I've already watched a few episodes multiple times, my wife loves the Christmas episode, I love Series 3 episode 1, the Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross soundtrack and the imagery are so, so good.
**** you cousin!
It did start well - but around the lighthouse stage it goes completely Lost ..
I reached the lighthouse.
It's now officially crap.
Just random new wacky stuff every sometimes, interspersed with conversations that don't go anywhere and don't advance characters, who neither have arcs nor make plots move.
In the bin.
Spider Noir on the other hand, was outstanding.
It takes itself with exactly the right degree of seriousness.
