I still have my dad's old flight logs, which has him flying these...
We've had a Spitfire flying overhead this week...about 2pm each day...sounds amazing.

heading for Clacton, then on to Exeter.
Goblin jet engine has a very distinctive sound. The Swiss flew Vampires and Venoms long after we stopped flying them. Nice little aircraft, although I do prefer the Meteor, there’s a couple at Cotswold Airport, Kemble, being restored to flying condition, one has flown recently, I believe.
Is that a genuine Norwegian Vampire, or a redressed UK example?
I saw one in the flesh a few weeks back at the RAF museum, it was surprised by how small it was but it looked amazing.
my late father did his national service as an engine fitter on those.
I think there is one at Elvington airfield as well...
Is it Wings and Wheels at Dunsfold this weekend so could be heading there?
