Production values great. Cast, great. Plot is just absolutely offensively bad, worse than the smell of my dogs first dump of the day.

After rewatching the mighty Vice Principals with my partner, who loved it's bizarreness too - we started on Danny McBride's next, The Righteous Gemstones. Also hilarious, bizarre and brilliant. A lot of the same cast members - Walton Goggins is fab. Has Adam Devine, who was also in the bonkers Workaholics a few years back. (Righteous Gemstones is on NowTV)

As did I but it's clearly had a lot (too much?) plot and science pruned out to fit within the constraints of a 2+ hour film. Time to read the book to see what I missed, I guess.
Probably a bit late to the party, but we've been watching Black Rabbit and after realising that the lack of likeable characters is a feature, not a bug, we've been enjoying it. Jason Bateman has given himself a complex part to play and he's handling it well - completely different role from DTF St Louis! The dark side of New York business is quite convincingly unpleasant. Disappointed not to see more of the decorative Abbey Lee Kershaw, but them's the breaks.

Yes, I usually find Bateman quite irritating, but he was excellent in that. The rest of the cast were all excellent too.

Mobland Season 2 in Sept although I'm not sure how many episodes Tom Hardy is in as I read there were some issues and he might be written out. Cue the "I'm going to Spain to keep me head down for a bit" scenario. Liked the first season though.

I wasn't feeling too great yesterday and spent a chunk of it horizontal on the sofa. Somehow seem to have watched 5 episodes back to back but that statement is spot on.

I watched Twelve Angry Men yesterday for the first time in a long time. Black and white, almost all shot in one set/room and every bit as relevant today as the day it was made. The behaviours, bias and prejudices in the room are as much 2026 as they are 1957.

Crow Girl. Missed series 1 so catching up (C5 with masses of adverts, or Paramount+) and s2 out on P+. Eve Myles plays the usual character, which I like. If you don't, you won't like the series. Adapted from a moody Scandi thriller trilogy and some improbable plot twists but quite watchable.

Just finished the final series last night. Was absolutely amazing, all episodes follow a single day. Would recommend giving it a go even if you'd not loved the last couple of seasons.
In other news, I noticed series 3 of STW favourite Colin from Accounts has started, just not available in the UK yet that I am aware of - presumably coming soon though.

We've just finished the last series and telly really doesn't get much better than that. A proper return to form after a couple of fairly lackluster seasons. Whoever's idea it was to just shoot the whole thing to cover just one (unbelievably stressful) day, it's genius! And to wrap the whole thing up, the last episode was so good we watched it again. The ending was perfect.
In other news... Series 4 of Ted Lasso is now on Apple TV but they're only releasing one a week. A strong start though, if you like that kind of thing. I get that its a bit marmite
