What's the best way? the PDF is an order for a bank, including coloured boxes, lines of text etc.
any thoughts? cheap is good, as is free.

I'm not aware of any. Thy must exist, but they'll be either expensive or Linux based.
I think Zamzar.com does this too, they'll email you when it's converted so you can download the new file.
why does it need to be word? what i have done before is export PDFs as JPGs and then edited in Photoshop.
If you have not got proper acrobat and the typewriter function...
print to MS Document Image writer (listed in your print options) make sure you print to MDI and not TIFF - mdi files, ( mdi was Ms crap pdf), open up the MDI file with document imager, on that there is a handy typewriter, text insert function.
or covert pdf to an image - but that as a background in word then use tables/text box to overtype
or print it out and use a pen...
Copy and paste the text, print screen on the images and paste as pics (edit in Paint etc)
Print it.
Scan in the print.
