Got flights to Geneva in a couple of weeks. Looking for a chalet for a few nights for three of us. I saw a website a few years ago where you put in your needs (i.e. arrival dates, number s etc) and chalet owners came back with a price. cant find anything like this now though. Any suggestions?? Or does anyone know of any accommodation that does nightly stays that won't break the bank.
Ideally keen on Morzine, but would also consider any of the decent resorts within 1-1.5 hours from Geneva.
Cheers
Think you'll struggle to get a chalet for a weekend. They like to book out the whole week. You might be thinking of http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/morzine.htm
Can't help with hotels in Morzine but one thing we have done is booked the first and last nights in a cheap hotel in Evian or Thonon. Its a fairly short drive to the slopes and means you only need one or two nights in an expensive hotel in Morzine. Works if your flight times fit.
Contact chalet companies directly and/or call the tourist office. I've stayed with these two in the summer

FWIW I'd check the snow conditions, Morzine is a bit low for late season holidays
owners direct is an option but unlikely if conditions are good. Any reason for Morzine?
Last time I did a few days we set a 3hr drive limit basically to Deux Alpes and ended up there, there are a couple of chalet finder websites but you will be down to hotels at that point.
there was website a few years ago that you entered what you want and it emailed out to chalet owners and they came back with a quote if they could offer you it...i.e. if they had free beds. I think I used it for a prior trip there. thought it was a good idea.
Only chosen morzine as its very close to Geneva and next to some higher(ish) resorts)...and I like it! Might ewnd up in Chamonix instead through as the options there are much greater.

We stayed with The Tasty Ski Company just outside Morzine last year (at the foot of the Nyon cable car) and there was a couple in the chalet who only stayed for a short break, so might be worth contacting smaller companies directly.
thanks Legolam...that's the kind of thing I was after.
